aber records
is a vienna based record label seeking to release young and talented artists in the field of forward-thinking electronic music with sex!
we are a division of aber kollektiv, a community of artists, organizers and interested minds, working in the broad field of arts and culture. our aim is to facilitate entry into the often harsh economic conditions of cultural markets and assist at gaining publicity and attention by organizing exhibitions, parties and networks.
we are a non-profit association compelled to support and promote young artists and their works. if we should ever make profit, we are legally bound to reinvest that money into the association.
therefore we depend on public subsidies, donations, member fees and profit from our sales. as you can imagine, these sums are pretty limited and we are constantly fighting budgetary problems.
if you like our stuff and think that our work is important, please help out with a small donation or even become an active member!
the aims of aber kollektiv are to:
- support young artists
- build a network for artists and consumers
- support modern art and distribute cultural products in public space
- build sustainable partnerships with other cultural networks and institutions around the world
- support cultural and political awareness and discussion
